Privacy Policy

Untapped is a product of Newshore Online LLC · Effective 11 August 2026

Untapped turns cricket scorecards into a personal batting profile. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who helps us process it, and what happens when you leave.

We wrote this to be read.

1. What Untapped Does

Untapped reads cricket scorecards and turns them into batting profiles, match reports, patterns, and style comparisons.

Most of the match data we use comes from public cricket scorecards published by leagues, clubs, or scoring platforms. You may also choose to add private information, such as journal answers or contact details, so Untapped can personalize your profile and notify you when new innings are read.

2. Information You Give Us

You may give Untapped:

You do not have to provide optional information unless you want to use the feature connected to it.

3. Public Match Data

Untapped may collect and process cricket scorecards, ball-by-ball records, scorecard totals, player names, team names, match dates, innings details, dismissals, bowling types, and related match information from public league or scoring websites.

These are public sporting records. Untapped reads and organizes them; we do not create the original scorecards.

If a public scorecard is wrong, incomplete, duplicated, or linked to the wrong player, your Untapped profile may reflect that issue until it is corrected or reviewed.

4. Technical Information

When you use Untapped, we may receive basic technical information needed to run, secure, and support the product.

This may include:

We use this information to operate the app, protect accounts, fix bugs, understand product reliability, and provide support.

We do not use advertising identifiers to build ad profiles. We do not sell analytics profiles to advertisers.

5. What We Do Not Collect

Untapped does not ask for access to your contacts, camera roll, microphone, precise location, or social media accounts unless a future feature clearly asks for that permission.

Untapped does not sell your personal information.

Untapped does not rent your personal information.

Untapped does not use your private journal entries for advertising.

6. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

We use your information to run Untapped for you. We do not sell it to anyone.

7. Match Updates and Notifications

If you provide an email address, phone number, WhatsApp number, or enable notifications, we may use that channel to send updates about your own game.

This may include:

You can turn optional match emails and notifications off from your Profile page or by using the unsubscribe link where provided.

Even if you turn off optional updates, we may still send messages that are necessary for account access, security, support, legal notices, or service operation.

8. Who Helps Us Process Data

We use a small number of service providers to operate Untapped.

These may include:

These providers receive only the information they need to perform their service for Untapped. They are not allowed to use your information for their own advertising.

Our service providers may change as the product evolves, but the principle stays the same: they only get what they need to help run the product.

9. Pro Comparison Data

Untapped may use professional cricket data from public, open-licensed, or licensed sources to build style comparisons.

Your pro comparison is based on batting style, not ability. It shows who your batting shape looks like, not who you are as good as.

Professional data is used to power comparisons inside the product. Your private journal entries and contact details are not part of the public pro comparison dataset.

10. How We Treat Journal Entries

Your match journal answers are private to your Untapped profile.

We use them to add context to your match reports and build better personal insights over time.

For example, if you tell Untapped how an innings felt, we may use that answer to connect your internal experience with what the scorecard showed.

We do not sell your journal entries. If you delete your account, your journal entries are deleted with it, subject to any limited retention described below.

11. Aggregated and De-Identified Data

We may use aggregated or de-identified information to improve Untapped.

For example, we may study how often certain scorecard errors occur, how reliable a metric is across sample sizes, or how different batting patterns appear across leagues.

When we use aggregated or de-identified data, we do not use it to identify you personally.

12. Account Access and Recovery

Untapped may use device-based access, login links, recovery links, email verification, phone verification, or other account access methods.

Treat login and recovery links like keys. Anyone with access to one may be able to open your profile.

If you think someone else has access to your Untapped profile, contact us at support@untappedcricket.com.

13. Account Deletion

You can delete your account from:

Profile → Delete my account

When you delete your account, Untapped removes your account access, contact details, journal entries, notification settings, and personal profile data from active systems.

Deletion is intended to be permanent. Once deleted, your profile, reports, and history may not be recoverable.

Some limited information may remain for a short period in backups, logs, security records, or legal records. We keep that only as long as needed for legitimate operational, security, legal, tax, billing, or compliance reasons.

Public match scorecards are different. They exist on league or scoring websites outside Untapped. Deleting your Untapped account does not remove public sporting records from those third-party sites.

Other players’ profiles may still use the same public matches because those scorecards are part of league history.

14. Correcting Match Data

Untapped does not control public scorecards.

If you believe a match, innings, dismissal, score, or player link is wrong in Untapped, contact us. We can review the source and re-check what Untapped has ingested.

If the original league scorecard is wrong, you may need to ask the league, club, scorer, or scoring platform to correct it at the source.

15. Children and Young Players

You must be at least 13 years old to use Untapped.

If you are under 18, you should use Untapped with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

Untapped is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to Untapped, contact us at support@untappedcricket.com and we will review and delete it where appropriate.

Parents or guardians may contact us about a young player’s profile, privacy request, or account deletion.

16. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect Untapped accounts and data.

No online service can guarantee perfect security. If we learn of a security issue that affects your information, we will take appropriate steps and notify you where required by law.

You can help by keeping your login, recovery link, email account, and device secure.

17. Data Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide Untapped, maintain your profile, support your account, improve reliability, prevent misuse, comply with legal obligations, or resolve disputes.

If you stop using Untapped without deleting your account, your profile may remain available so you can return later.

If you delete your account, we delete your personal account data as described in the Account Deletion section.

If this ever changes, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any choices required by law before doing so.

20. California and Other U.S. State Privacy Rights

If those laws apply to Untapped and to your request, we will honor the rights they provide. These may include the right to know, access, delete, correct, or opt out of certain uses of personal information.

We may update this Privacy Policy as Untapped evolves.

If we make a change that matters, we will make reasonable efforts to tell you in the app, by email, or through another appropriate channel before or when the change takes effect.

The effective date at the top tells you which version you are reading.
